EMBER - Return to Earth
Bring it home.
One spacecraft. One button. A whole atmosphere between you and the runway.
Hold Space, mouse or touch to raise the nose and brake. Release to lower the nose and descend. Balance heat, lift and remaining energy, then bring the landing forecast onto the runway.
Three recovery routes carry you from the black of orbit through turbulent plasma, over the coast and into a complete landing sequence: flare, wheel contact, speedbrakes and rollout. An original Blender spacecraft features articulated landing gear and flight controls, ceramic heat-shield materials and altitude-aware reflections.
Reach the 500m autoland gate within 2km of the predicted touchdown point, below 180m/s and 35m/s descent. The landing system then handles touchdown and braking. Escape pauses; sound and camera motion can be disabled. Flight time is compressed and tuned for play.
Built with Unity 6. No runtime AI, account or online service is required. Code, procedural art and audio developed with Codex assistance. Earth imagery: NASA/Goddard Scientific Visualization Studio, Blue Marble.
